Listening to Obama's San Francisco speech where he talked about getting a mop to clean up the mess he inherited, I thought of Disney's animation "The Sorcerer's Apprentice".  The Sorcerer hands Mickey Mouse a mop and bucket and tells him to clean up the castle, but Mickey decides to take a short cut. He puts on the Sorcerer’s hat and orders the mop to do the cleaning for him. It starts off well, but pretty soon gets out of control with buckets of water sloshing everywhere. This is an apt metaphor for the Obama administration. It started off well but is now out of control. We are spending trillions of dollars and accomplishing virtually nothing. Unemployment is heading into double digits. The dollar continues to fall. Our foreign policy is confused and indecisive and our stature as a great power is declining. Obama is making a mess of things. He does not know how to use the power given to him.

Thanks to Obama's uncontrollable spending, you now owe $4,600 more than you did last year.  That's the share each man, woman, and child will have to pay for the $1.4 trillion deficit Obama racked up in just one year.

It was supposed to be a done deal.  Chicago was the leading contender to host the 2016 Olympics, so President Obama and his lovely wife flew off to Copenhagen in separate jets to bask in the glory of Chicago's selection and take credit for it.  It didn't turn out that way.  Apparently the rest of the world is getting as fed up with the Obamas' pontificating as most Americans.  This is a big loss for Obama but a big win for the people of Chicago who won't have to shell out millions to make the friends of Obama rich.

Our President, Barack Hussein Obama II, went on the Sunday news programs to discuss the issues of the day.  The big news is how utterly banal he has become.  People have learned he will say anything convenient but no longer give credence to his words.  Lincoln said you can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.  Obama has reached the point where he is fooling some of the people some of the time.  He is rapidly moving to the point where he will be fooling none of the people none of the time.

It was a good game, a division rivalry between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.  Then the half-time show came on.  As if Bob Costas isn't annoying enough, NBC sports added Keith Olberman, perhaps the most obnoxious person on the planet.  These two guys don't seem to like football and have nothing but contempt for football fans. What is NBC sports thinking? 

During his confirmation hearing, Eric Holder said, “First, I will work to strengthen the activities of the federal government that protect the American people from terrorism. Nothing I will do is more important.” That was then. Now, he evidently found something more important – prosecuting CIA interrogators who extracted information that saved thousands of lives. Without question, prosecuting CIA interrogators will degrade our intelligence capability and make Americans more vulnerable to a terrorist attack. Holder is acting recklessly and irresponsibly by weakening, not strengthening, the activities of the federal government that protect the American people from terrorism. He misled Congress when he said he would do otherwise. He ought to be held to account.

Campaigning for a Democrat running for Governor of Virginia, Barack Hussein Obama II said he isn't responsible for the mess in Washington.   Nor responsible?  Wasn't Barack Hussein Obama II in the Senate before he became President?  More and more people are realizing his programs aren't working and in fact damaging the country.  All he can do is try to silence their voices.  Hugo Chavez must be smiling.
