Janet Napolitano was absolutely right when she said the system worked.  After his unsuccessful attempt to blow up a plane carryingl about 300 people, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was arrested, given a lawyer, and read his Miranda rights.  This is how the system works under Obama's war on man caused disasters.

Just a few weeks ago, President Obama said he would not sign a health care bill that didn’t contain a public option. It was a declarative statement. The public option was a deal breaker. If it wasn’t in the bill, he wouldn’t sign it. Guess what? The public option probably won’t be in the health care bill and he will sign it anyway. Obama draws a line in the sand, then promptly erases it and says it was really never there.   You can’t trust anything he says. His credibility is gone. 

He’s become the Rodney Dangerfield of American Presidents. Barack Obama gets no respect. Just days after asking Chinese President Hu Jintao to show respect for human rights, the Chinese government sentenced dissident Liu Xiaoba to 11 years in prison. His crime - criticizing the government.  All the apologizing and groveling hasn’t worked. You wonder if Obama realizes it.

He simply cannot accept responsibility.  Instead of admitting his multibillion dollar "stimulus plan" was a bust, President Obama is blaming "fatcat" bankers for not making more loans to high credit risk clients.  Forget that it was bad loans that created the mess we are now in.  Our President does not understand economics and is leading the country to ruin.

Let's see, a woman threatens to expose her relationship with David Letterman unless he gives her money and that's blackmail.  A woman, or in this case, women, threaten to expose their relationships with Tiger Woods unless he gives them money and it's a legitimate legal proceeding.  There seems to be a double standard here.

Speaking in Pennsylvania, President Obama said, “we stabilized the banking system”. In fact it was the TARP initiated and implemented during the Bush Administration that stabilized the banking system. This is typical Obama. He takes credit for someone else’s success and blames others for his failures. The TARP which was Bush’s succeeded. The stimulus, which was Obama’s, failed.

GE, a major defense contractor should fire Chris Matthews for his outrageous comment that West Point is the "enemy camp".  GE has received TARP funds so they are paying Matthews' salary with our money.

Eric Holder looked about as comfortable as a worm on a fish hook during his appearance before a Senate committee questioning him about his decision to try the 9-11 terrorists in New York. One of the most idiotic things he said was that the whole world would be impressed by our judicial system when they see us give Khalid Sheikh Mohammed a fair trial before executing him. To be fair, the trial isn’t really about KSM but about the Bush administration. As the Marc Rich pardon showed, Holder is someone who can be pushed around. Radical lawyers in the Justice Department believe the Bush administration committed war crimes and want a civil trial to prove their case. Holder and his boss, the President, are more than happy to go along. However, Holder looks ridiculous when he tries to justify his decision. 

President Obama sounded an awful lot like Judge Roy Bean when he answered a question about the upcoming civil trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.  It was Bean who famously told a defendant he would get a fair trial and then be hanged.  Obama essentially said the same thing.  He said KSM would get a fair trial then be executed.

If you had any doubt about how reckless, irresponsible and incompetent Obama's decision to provide civilian trials for terrorism leaders is, consider this - 9/11 might have never happened had it not been for the civilian trial of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind sheikh involved in the first world trade center bombing.  It was during his trial that bin Laden learned about our interest in him as a terrorist financier and planner.   Following the disclosure, bin Laden fled Sudan for sanctuary in Afghanistan. Had he not fled, we may have been able to secure his capture by offering the Sudanese authorities a few million dollars for his detention and transfer to the U.S. Without bin Laden, there would have been no 9/11.  Thousands of Americans died as a result of the information released at the civilian trial of Rahman. Don’t be surprised if tens of thousands of Americans die as a result of information released at the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

Our dithering President is beginning to look more and more like LBJ.  He can't decide on troop deployments although he has had the request for more resources since August.  He is  micromanaging military strategy, second guessing his field commanders, and undermining the Afghan government.  It all seems eerily similar to what happened in Viet Nam.  Obama, the community organizer, is not up to the job of being Commander in Chief.  He seems more concerned about losing the support of his radical left wing base than losing the war in Afghanistan.

There used to be a joke in what was then Communist East Germany.  The Communists took over the desert.  At first nothing happened, then there was a shortage of sand.  If we get a public option, at first nothing will happen, then there will be shortage of doctors.
