STEWART-COLBERT RALLY WAS MOSTLY WHITE

The crowd attending the Stewart-Colbert rally was mostly white, mostly young, and mostly made up of college students from the DC area.  So much for diversity.

Talk show host Ted Grandy had a good comment on Obama's whining about being treated like a dog.  He said voters will stop treating Obama like a dog when he stops treating us like a fire hydrant.

SOLDIERS DIE, OBAMA PARTIES

July was the deadliest month for American soldiers in Afghanistan since the war began over eight years ago.  So what did the Commander in Chief do to acknowledge the sacrifices our troops are making?  He played golf, took a vacation, was serenaded by aging Beatle Paul McCartney, and in general had a heck of a good time.  Obama's indifferent, cavalier attitude toward the deaths of young Americans in Afghanistan is deeply disturbing.

The President's credibility has taken another hit.  Remember that promise he kept making about not raising anyone's taxes who made less than $250,000/year.  Guess what?  Obama's own Justice Department says that if you make less than  $250,000/year and don't buy health insurance, you get hit with a tax collected by the IRS.  More and more people are coming to understand this President will say anything, whether it's factual or not.

OBAMA STILL HATES ISRAEL

That was quite a show the President put on with the Prime Minister of Israel.  He even said the ties between Israel and America are unbreakable.  They will remain unbreakable at least until the November elections.  The meeting wasn't about Israel, or the Palestinians.  It was about keeping Jews voting Democratic.  Once the election is over, Obama will once again do all he can to undermine Israel's security.

KAGAN TAKES THE FIFTH

Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, who is not a lesbian, is essentially pleading her fifth amendment rights against self incrimination during her confirmation hearings.  When asked a question, she says nothing so as not to reveal her true beliefs.  Advise and consent is supposed to be a serious process to ensure high level government officals are morally sound and professionally competent.  Instead, the Democrats, and especially Pat Leahy, have turned the hearings into a farcical Kabuki dance where Kagan says nothing and then gets praised for it by the Democrats.  This hearing is a travesty.

WHAT MCCHRYSTAL REALLY DID

Conventional wisdom is that McChrystal didn't know what he was doing when he gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine.  Don't believe it.  He knew exactly what he was doing.  The interview was meant to alert America to the indifference our bumbling, aloof President has over winning the war in Afghanistan.  Afghanistan is once again front page news and Obama was once again forced to take ownership of it.  It was a brilliant move.  McChrystal is a real American hero.

Welcome to Gomorrah West. After nominating Elena Kagan, a homosexual rights activist, who the White House says is not a lesbian, to be a justice on the Supreme Court, President Obama is now seeking to overturn the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy in the military. Never mind that most people actually serving in the military want to keep the policy in place. A few want it overturned and the rest are indifferent.  We know repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell” will damage morale and military effectiveness. Obama doesn’t care. He’s more interested in advancing a radical homosexual agenda. You would think black churches would speak out against a change in policy that seeks to legitimize immoral behavior or that Colin Powell would speak out against undermining the military; but, you would be wrong.

The Sestak bribe is not a unique incident. Rod Blagojevich apparently also negotiated for a high level position with someone in the White House in return for a political favor. We don’t know who the person was because Patrick Fitzgerald abruptly terminated his investigation before the deal was made. Why Fitzgerald would terminate his investigation is a question in itself. After all, this is the guy who pursued Bush administration officials for years over something that wasn’t even a crime. You have to wonder who else received offers of high level positions in the administration in return for political favors. Bart Stupak anyone?
